Before you come

Does a test ride cost anything?

No, and there is no deposit. Bring ID — passport or a driving licence — and that is the whole formality.

How long do I get?

Around 45 minutes, which is long enough to find a hill and to see what the assist does on one. Ask for longer and most shops will say yes.

Do I need to bring a helmet?

No. Helmet and lock are there. Bring your own if you would rather, and wear something you can cycle in.

Can two of us ride together?

Yes — say so in the form and the shop charges two bikes. Three or more is worth a phone call first.

Will someone try to sell me a bike?

They will answer what you ask and let you ride. If you want to think about it for a month, that is a normal answer.
